What was the original size on the 950? Thinking about getting 14.9x28. I want something a little taller and wider than originals. Any suggestions?

The modern equivalent of the original size would be 13.6x28. 14.9's add a little height and width...just what you're looking for. I think the 14.9's are a good match for a 900/901's size and power.

agree 14.9 x 28 is a good size for them.
I have them on mine and they look and work well.
(4cyl NF 4000, basically same tractor)

One of my 14.9's is bad. I have been tracking down a good used one. While I wait, I tried 2 different sets of 13.6 x 28's on it.
(Ags, and very tall Turfs)
too small.....look bad...

i like 14.9-28 on a rowcrop.

here is my 950 with a set on.

I'm a bit of a tire non snob. I'll buy whatever is cheap for rears, unmatched is fine. Fronts, I do like hi ply though.

One of those was a Carlisle multi trac. The other is a blem with the name mostly buffed off. I bought another set of blems from tucker, 13.6-28 for my 740. Good, cheap. Just cosmetic blem

If you put 14.9-28's on the rear, you might want to put a little larger size on the front too. I think the original spec was 5.50-16. In the photo, my 961 has 14.9-28 Goodyears on the back and 6.00-16 on the front and it sits near level. -Will

Here is another picture of a similar tractor with 14.9. I have another one with 12.4 and I like this look a lot better.
