Breaking in my long block 201

Background. Old engine developed a knock. Replaced it with a new longblock.

I have had it installed for several months, but due to the bitter winter, I found one warm day, turned it over enough to bleed and stopped.
Last week, I turned it over 3 revolutions and it started right up, with no starting aid

It is spring in VA. Saturday, with loader off, hood off, I hooked it up to my tilting dual tire dual axle gooseneck with a loaded tractor and other stuff and set out to break in that engine. I worked the crap out of that engine, and I could tell it was getting stronger. On second pass on hill where it struggled the first time, it purred right up. I put 6 hours on it loaded, climbing grades up to 20 percent. With that load, it worked that engine.
End result is my exhaust is chaulky grey. Engine purrs like a kitten, and under full throttle, and load, roars. My regret is my daughter took my ear muffs to shooting range and hasn't return them, and that damn thing got loud after a while, especially when working it.
Yesterday, put the loader back on it and all is well.
