Tractor ID - Sean in PA

Sean, I just bought another 2110 LCG. Am I correct in saying
this is a '74 model? Seller told me it was a '72
Serial C44200
Unit 4K29 B

Thanks, Steve

Steve, serial number needs another digit. Should be a letter followed by 6 numbers. If it starts with C442 then it would be a 1974 tractor. 4k29B says it was built on October 29, 1974 as well, so I would safely say that it's a 1974 tractor, unless the transmission was swapped at some point and the donor tractor was a 1974, then you don't know when the rest of the tractor was built unless you can find the production codes for the individual components.

The whole number is C442400. I was looking at his notes and got the number from there. I went out and checked the foil tag for the full number and all the other numbers start with a 4. Great to hear tractor is 2 years newer. It has 11.2 x 28 tires on it and bigger truck tires up front. Full heated Sims cab with a hydraulic snow plow. I have a 70 2110 and that has the 24" tires. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Thanks for your help! Steve

(quoted from post at 09:52:12 03/12/15) Maybe November 29 1974 day shift

K is October. L is November. They skipped the letter "I", I'm not 100% sure why but I remember someone saying that it was because it was too easy to confuse with either the number "1" or the letter "J", or maybe both.

Sean is correct I never realized that Ford skipped the letter I. See attached if it works.

Tom, K is for October! They skip over the I because it can be confused with a 1.
