Vane Pump Question

My Loader has a Vickers Vane Pump on it, which has started leaking through the shaft seal, it still works well as far as the loader goes, just the front seal leaking.

1. Is it possible to rebuild these pumps and replace the seal?
2. Is this something that I can do without any special tools?
3. If so, where can I find the parts?

Any help is appreciated, it doesn't leak a ton, but after all the work and paint going into the tractor, hate to have something leaking.

That is a yes, no , maybe thing. The last time I checked on a rebuild kit for that pump they wanted more for the kit then it cost for a new pump. I have 2 or 3 of those Vickers Vane pumps laying around off of tractor with loaders. Now if you can carefully open it up and maybe get numbers off the shaft seal you maybe able to fix your problem. But if you mess up a gasket or o-ring you may be up the creek with out a paddle

I rebuilt my Vickers pump replacing seals, bearings and bolts. They recommend replacing the bolts. It was not that expensive. I even replaced the cassette which increased output. Contact the folks below as they had all the parts and were very helpful. They will even send instructions on how to do the rebuild.
