Ford 3600 Oil

What weight oil should I put in my Ford 3600 diesel?
The owners manual indicates 10W in the winter and 30W in the summer. However, I won't be putting on many hours so I don't want to be changing it all the time.

Your climate would dictate what oil you use to some extent. That said, 15W-40 has become a popular choice. It's what I run, year-round, here in n/w WI.

agreed, 15w40 is what most of my tractors eat.

10W-40 or some such in that range. Depends on where you are. If up north a lighter oil if down south a heavier oil. Just be sure it meets diesel specs
