Today I received my new Dennis Carpenter catalog.

The early S-O-S filter is once again available and it is priced at only $27.00.

I am glad to know this good info but I can't seem to find it on his website. I'm just about ready to road test a 601 SOS and a clean filter would be a good idea I think. This is my first SOS and I am hoping for the best.

Yes, Tony said that they are the ones that he was working to get made when he replied to someone else who had said that they had seen them in the latest Dennis Carpenter catalog.
 
Do NOT attempt to remove the top cover and change the filter unless and until you have gotten a proper S-O-S service manual and have read and understood the relevant procedures.

Expensive damage can result from improper service procedures.
