Bushings on rest-o- ride

Now what. Bushings won't go in. Guess drill out on base. Live and learn

If that's a brass bushing, take an adjustable ream. Tighten up ream inside bushing. That will hold bushing in place. Chuck it up in lathe and turn down the outside of bushing. I do that all the time.

(quoted from post at 02:58:16 02/28/15) But not when side springs have been welded like ones pictured

A 1/16" thick cut-off wheel in a die grinder or angle grinder will "unfasten" those welds quickly.

Went through the process of trying to restore one of these seats for tractor. Finally threw it in the trash and bought a $79.95 dollar grammar seat at the local co-op.

I've rebuilt 5 or 6 R-O-R seats, and it is expensive and time consuming to do it properly.

That said, a properly functioning R-O-R seat is not a bad seat, MUCH better than the basic spring/pan seat.
