Ford 4400 Tire Chains

I am needing to get a pair of chains for my tractor but i am a little concerned because the tires almost rub the loader frame. I believe if i put chains on they will hit the frame. Is it possible to reverse the rims on that tractor to gain some clearance? Or is a spacer of sorts required? Never taken the tires off a tractor before...any advice would be appreciated. They are not loaded as of now but probably will be in the near future, like to solve this clearance issue before i load them.

If the rim can be removed from the center by taking out bolts then yes you can make if wider or narrower just by flipping the center or by moving the rim in or out on the center etc

If the wheels are currently dished in, and you want them dished out to widen the track, the easiest way to do it is to swap them left-to-right so the tire tread will still be in the "forward" direction. Otherwise you will have to unbolt the centers from the rims and reconfigure them as Old suggested to keep the tread facing the correct way.

The 24" wheels have many options for tread width. 56, 60, 64", 68", 72, 76

Dish in, dish out, and position of the rim on the disc are the variables. 64 and 68 can be achieved with dish in _or_ dish out.

Officially, the 28" wheels do not (64" fixed width.) But by the same book, those supposedly were not offered on 4400s.
