I have a 861 that is in very good shape with a 5speed transmission, just trying to get a feel for the worth of it.

That's not much to go on...
Does it have power steering?
Tires new? good, fair, poor?
New paint or good clean original?
Any extras? Implements, wheel weights, bumper, remotes?
Location? They bring more or less in different parts of the country.
Around here a good running, clean 861 would probably start about $3500 and go up to $5000.

Very good shape to one person can be looks real good but runs poorly or the other way around. Real hard to give you an answer with out a whole lot more info and a picture also. From what you say $500 to $5000

Sorry I did not give much to go on.
Good tires all around
no power steering.
good paint job
this is a gas engine
one rim on rear needs replacing
starts and runs good, with good oil psi
rebuilt steering box

2500$ here not much less, not much more..someone who had a
spare rim hanging around might pay as much as 3, if he
neededit.

agree 100%, my brother bought then later sold one (861) recently that needed one new back tire for $2000. I see new kubota's and kiotis in every driveway on the way home, not a big market in collectors anymore either AFAIK? I see people asking 4-5k for these all the time, but they sit there month after month.....

I wouldn't take 2500 for mine though, I NEED it!

I agree with needing it. I only have about eight acres of ground and grow a garden plus plant a small food plot for wild game. I was thinking of selling and buying one of the small rice patty tractors, but should just keep what I have and use it as needed.
