1965 Ford 4400 clutch pedal bushing

I would like to replace the bushing in the pedal assy of the clutch pedal. I see that you have to disconnect the brake linkage on the left and right side and it appears the entire shaft slides out from right side to left side. Is there anything (gears, washers etc..) that will drop down if I remove the shaft or does it slide in and out with out further disassembly? Also if anyone has done this before with a loader on, doe the loader have to be removed to have clearencen to get the shaft out? Thank you!

You're going to need to split the tractor. The yoke for the throw-out bearing is attached to the shaft. The loader will likely have to come off.

I may have described it wrong, it's the shaft at the back (rear diff area) for brake pedals, the clutch pedal just rides/pivots on it. Not the transmission shaft for the throw out bearing.

OK. I haven't done bushings on that one.
I'd have to check a parts diagram, but I don't think there's anything to drop out of place on that shaft. Couldn't tell you if it will clear the loader. It will be easier to do with the loader out of the way...but removing the loader may be more work than it's worth, if it can be done with the loader in place.

I can't say if the loader needs to come off.
But you are correct that you remove all the brake componants on the right side and slide it out of the left side.
You will likely find that your shaft is worn as much as your bushings so be prepared to replace that as well.

Thank you I appreciate it. Just wanted to make sure that the shaft would slide out and back in with tearing the rear end apart.

Loader does not have to come off. Pedals on both side do though. Plan on 2 new seals also, one for each side. Take the pedals off, slide shaft to one side, do it. Then slide shaft to other side and do it. Going to assume (I know bad idea) you have a leak there like most do. If shaft is pitted like mine was, clean well with brake or carb cleaner. Fill with JB weld and sand down with fine emery cloth. Seal the leak while you are there. If no leak and just need bushing, just take pedal off and slide to the right. Can get it far enough over to take clutch pedal off. Might have to remove brake linkage.

Not gonna work that way. The shaft has a weldment on one end, it has to come all the way out one direction. Plan on removiing the loader or at least dropping the axle mounts and lowering the loader frame enough to clear the cross shaft. Watch out on front while lowering the rear. It might work that way, might not.
