Hello
I was wondering if any of you have tried the bars rear main seal fix on any of your old tractors.
Thank you

Tried one of those years ago and it clogged up the relief valve and cost me big $$ to fix. That was in my car and I'll NEVER do that again

The only Right way to fix a leaking seal is to replace the seal.
Mechanic in a bottle won't work. It only causes more problems.
Cheers

how bad does it leak? Though they should not leak at all, leakage of these old rope seals is normal from what I read a while ago on a classic car site.

It's probly 10 drips a minute while running
I was just wondering if this would slow it down
I was going to add when I change the oil

On the old rope seals...

I have seen them slow down and almost stop by just working the snot out of the tractor. Seems they like to get hot and swell up when worked hard. On the neopreme seals.. there's no fix but replacement.
