Re: Anyone heard from Tony Jacobs?

Interesting. I have not gotten my new catalog yet.

Is the filter for the 59 - 64 models?

Hello Keith , Just out here plowing snow every storm drops at least a Foot or more just get cleaned up from one and have to start all over again . Yes that is the correct Filter for the Select-O-Speed transmissions those are the ones I have been working on . Thanks Tony

Hello Norm , Just trying to get the Correct info out there that's all . As Sean has said more gear ratio changes when the three cylinder tractors came out , makes for a real pain in the azz when changing Roadless and Schindler 4x4 kits on the three cylinder tractors like the 4000's and the 5000's . Thanks Tony

Hey Tony,

Now you need to work on getting some reproduction overrunning clutches produced for the early Select-O-Speeds. Bet there would be a few buyers for those (including me). Piece of cake, right?!

Hello KCM , I actually have figured out a way to rebuild them with a stronger clutch unit from the racing transmissions my brother and I rebuild , just have to sit down and spend the time to do the machine work and put it together . I figured if we can't break them behind 1000hp plus Big Block Chevy's it won't break in a Ford tractor . The clutch units have double the amount of rollers for twice the gripping surface so they should work very well . As usual time between too many projects slows everything down , especially with this non stop snowplowing , shoveling roofs and burning firewood like it was water lately with the cold . Thanks Tony
