Looking at a 1977 Ford Diesel Tractor. Very clean. One owner. Always sheded. 900 hrs. All original manuals. No leaks. Metal is perfect.Everything works as it should. Starts right up. Rubber 70% front 80% back. Weights.
He wants $2600.00. Firm.
Good Price?
Thanks Jack

Not a bad price as such as long as it runs well and does not smoke etc. Do not remember what a fiend payed for and sold his for but I think he payed more and got more then that

Nice looking tractor. If you have use for it, $2600 can't be a bad price. If it isn't worth that much it won't be worth half that, either.

You re buying an oversized lawn mower. It will wear out like a lawn mower. You cannot get parts for these japaneze made tractors. They are made by Shubira for Ford and are very low end. If your ok with that, the go for it. If not put the 2600 into a jubilee series tractor and get a tractor that will do twice as much and you can still get parts for it. Others may have a different opinion. There is no such thing as a good price on that model.

NAA's have more than a few hydraulic parts that range betweeen difficult and impossible to buy new. Shibaura tractors might be a lot of things, but low-end is not among them. New Holland shot themselves in both feet whan they divorced Shibaura.

The good news is ti doesn't have the difficult to find parts for front wheel drive.

The bad news us it doesn't have front wheel drive, they are low on traction without....

If it does some work for you, the price seems good for the shape it appears to be in! It is certainly more than a lawn mower.

Had this one's little brother the 1210 for a few years. These Jap made tractors are good little units and will work hard. I used mine well beyond what it was designed for and it never failed me.

As to parts availability I never had an issue when going to my local New Holland dealer. You can contact Shibaura directly as well. They were very responsive to me when I had a question the the local dealer could not answer.

Mine had the turf tires and was OK for most things when brush cutting but if even a bit muddy things got interesting. The one you mentioned has the AG tires so should be much better.

Never tried to plow with mine mostly brush cutting, hauling with carry all and using a boom pole to move stuff around. It worked very well for what I did with it. I actually miss that tractor and should never let a buddy talk me into selling it to him.

I would not hesitate on that tractor at that price as long as you are not expecting it to work like a bigger unit.

It's a better deal than the over priced lawn tractor, and zero turn lawn mowers they are selling these days (plus it can do more than cut grass).
