what oil for tranny and rear end?

What do you guys put in I have a 1955 ford 950. In the book it says 80w.

I think most folks here recommend a UTF that meets Ford's 134D spec for the tranny, hydraulic sump, and rear end. That way if the seals leak between the compartments there's no worry about contaminating your gear oil with hydraulic fluid or vice versa. That's what I'm running in my '55 850.

Now days UTF that meets the ford spec. If your in an area that is real cold in the winter then UTF works very well due to the fact it is not as thick so moving better when cold
