Ford 640 Inner PTO Seal

Hey everyone. I am in the process of buying a rear end from dmbinva and need some advice on replacing the inner pto shaft seal if there is one and where I can buy one. The seal I am referring to is the one that is located at the transmission to rear axle housing split. I figured that while I had this thing split at the rear of the trans, I'd replace as many seals as I could. Any more advice on things to do at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help!!
 

The original seal was a double seal- 2 neoprene seals inside 1 metal housing and it is NLA. You have to buy 2 individual seals and drive them in face-to-face.

As Ultradog said- just put 134D in all 3 compartments and don't worry about the PTO shaft seal.
 
Thanks for the reply's. I was planning on using the 134 fluid, but was concerned about the levels changing in the compartments with the seal not sealing correctly. I didn't check to see if the trans/hyd/axle compartments all had the same full levels.
 
I think that is the right way to do the job. I guess I will just have to match up a seal at the local seal and bearing distributor after I get the tractor apart. I was hoping someone would have already done this and had the seal numbers handy, so I could have them on hand when I was doing the job. I will try to remember to post the numbers after I complete the job. Thanks
 
Future you may thank you for replacing that seal while you're in there. The seal is leaking between my rear end and hydraulic sump. I have the tractor apart at the clutch, and there's a steady drip coming out of the end of the hydraulic lines at the bottom of the bell housing. Been dripping for days. Since I drained the hydraulic sump, it has to be leaking from the rear end.

Not a huge deal, just losing more oil.

Also, if the seal is bad, you could have scoring on your PTO shaft.
