Restoration Question: Hood hinge and latch colors/finishes

After a couple month break, I have jumped back in with both feet to finish up my 641 restoration. Basically, I have everything done except for the sheetmetal. Got that all sandblasted today, dents/kinks knocked out, cracks stop-drilled/welded/ground and stuff test fitted. Tomorrow the etch and weld-through primer gets laid down, and the dog legs welded back on.

Question: What are the correct colors/finishes for the hood hinges, and also the hood latches? My tin had decent original paint on it, and seeing that the hinges and latches were completely rusted, I'm wondering if they were a natural finish, or something other than the hood color. Any thoughts, or better yet, pictures?

Thanks!
Kevin

Thanks Tony! That's exactly what I needed to know. I've been debating getting one of those plating kits from Eastwood to experiment with small stuff like this. Maybe now's the chance to do it. Since the latches and hinges are so "front and center", I think it'd be a real good detailing point if I can pull it off.
