How long does it creep cold? Can you hold the brakes for a bit until it parks, or is it a continual creep?

If the former, a brief latency to creep is normal. If the latter, a band adjustment might help. Does it have the correct oil and has it been changed recently enough to be clean and moisture free?

I knew a man that wondered why his 871 wouldn't go to park in winter in northern Kansas. Turns out he'd put 80W gear grease in the thing. They don't stop well when it's below freezing with 80W in the SOS.
