ford 3000 front weights

I have a 1974 ford 3000. I can't find much information on weights for it. I am going to be using a 6ft. Bush hog and it gets a little light of the front end. Does anyone have any information that I could use?

Besides the ones Sean mentioned, another option is bumper
weights. Seems like Ultra has or has some of them for sale.

If I were you, I would seriously consider making that trip. I've only seen one of those weight brackets for sale locally, and one other one on ebay....ever. They just aren't common.

The front wheel weights, though not particularly common, are much easier to find than the front weight bracket/weights.

I've several sets and use these on my 860 and 64, 4 cylinder 4000.

Had the same problem with my 75 2000. I just got a used front bumper for $75 and wrapped it with tow chain and it helped.

My tractor has a wider front tire. Not sure what ford tractor they came off of but I have never seen a 3000 with them

A front weight bracket wouldn't be hard to build.
Hang half a dozen 50 lb suitcase weights from a skid steer up there. Would look kinda cool.
Front wheel weights would help too.
If you are patient you might find all the pieces to put a front bumper and weights on it.
It took me most of four years to put this package together on my 3000.
You would need to start with the bumper then add the extra brackets and then find the bumper weights.
What you see adds about 240 lbs to the front.

Yes, ultradogs does look good, much better than throwing something together in 10 minutes like I did to haul hay.......

are you sure you need weight up there? is your tractor that much lighter than mine? I have no need for weight with a 6' bush hog?

The 6ft. Cutter is a hardee rated for up to 90 hp. It also has 2 tail wheels. It's heavy. I don't need much weight but an extra 250 to 300 lbs would make it handle better.

Do you have those big front tires loaded with water?
Bumper weights could cause wear on axle pivot.IMHO
Ballast helped my 640 with 600 16 tires and heavy
66" Sidewinder mower.

Wheel weights, loaded tire, chain or something heavy
hanging off the bumper or add a couple of pounds to
the axle.
