hydraulic control Ford 4000

Hello all, on my Ford 4000(4cyl) the position control for the 3 pt. does not respond until about the last inch of travel(top end of quadrant). I get by with it but obviously it isn't right. Anyone know the issue with it, and the fix? Thanks, Mark.

It's time to remove the lift cover, replace the cam follower pin and adjust the draft and position control linkage.

Of course, you will want to tenew the lift piston O ring and badk up washer while you have the lift cover off.
