Generator Warning Light

If you just need it to work, then something can be rigged up with
a 168 type lamp. Lense will look correct, but if the sphincter
police look under the dash you will loose originality points...
GottA watch those annually retentive originality in specters ya
know!

IIRC (haven't checked), the lamp assembly is part of the wiring harness.

Again, probably NLS.

The correct bulb can be bought at any parts store.
On the other hand;
The bulb socket is part of the wiring harness and is no longer serviced by New Holland.

The only place you can get the correct bulb socket (that I know of) is to cut it out of the wiring of a junk yard tractor.

Alway find good stuff on ebay.. these will work on the newer instrument panels,.

On a side note, my tractor has had a 12v conversion done to it, and has a Single Wire Alternator on it.

How would I make this light come on if the alternator stops charging?

My thoughts were to find an automotive relay that is Normally closed that will open when it has 12vdc applied.

Like I said, tractor has the 12v conversion done to it, so not really worried about 'original' just want functional here.

if the alt has a big battery lug, and then two spade terminals beside the battery lug......

run a wire from the spade lug closest to the battery lug back to a "two wire light socket,,,, to one of the wires and then the other wire on the socket going to the "on" side of the ignition switch.

The two wire socket is still availible for a ge53 bulb, but the connector will not let the bulb go to ground, but too the 2nd wire. Often refered to as a oil pressure socket or a generator light socket for older cars.. If you dont mind changing to a t10 bulb, you can get the sockets much cheaper.
