Finished up the 961D last Thursday and drove it back to the farm just in time for some corn chowder for lunch!

Ended up sending in the injector pump as an exchange for a rebuilt pump. Used Central Fuel Injection out of Estherville, IA. Two year warranty on it. Put the new pump in and the tractor started with barely a touch to the starter button.

Thanks, everyone, for your help on this project! Sure do appreciate it. And especially to Paul in MN and his son who gave me the replacement engine.

Looks good to me. I just picked one of these up last weekend from an estate auction. It started life as a SOS Diesel but has been converted to a 5 speed with dual clutch. Therefore I don,t know the serial number. It was advertised as a runner but had no battery, coolant or oil in it. It has the single tire front wheel. Hope to get it going like this one.

My neighbor out at the farm was helping me, so only about a mile and a half. But it was a cold ride.
