remote hydraulics on 641

Just wondering if this could be used for a FEL? I don't have remote at present and am thinking about adding it when I do a restore in a couple years, but only if it will work for operating a FEL. If not, then I guess I will keep the present set up with the front mounted pump and reservoir on my foot rest(I really hate that part of it but enjoy the FEL).

I have that set up on my 640 and I agree with others
its painfully slow. Don't think you'll be happy with
after running it with a front pump.

OK, One more question....

My current setup is the front mounted pump and reservoir sitting on my left foot rest. I have a two lever control on the right side next to the steering. Pretty common setup from others I have seen.

The bucket, of course has two lines to the cylinder to raise and dump. the lift arm cylinders have a single line to raise and gravity lowers them. I also have a ball valve in the arm line before it splits off to each side. I assume this is to lock the lift arms so they don't fall over time during extended lift operation.

My question is this: I have about a 5 to 7 second delay from when I hit the lever to raise until it actually starts to raise. Same for the bucket. The more I use it, the quicker the response time. I have tons of oil in the reservoir, so do I have a leaky seal somewhere?

While it is in this delay of lifting, there is a distinct load put on the engine. Not enough to stall it or anything, but a distinct grunting.

Is this normal? or do I have a bad control or pump seal somewhere?
