Tire question

Guys,
Will 7.50 x 16 tires and rims fit on a 63'
ford 4000 with the adjustable front axle.? I'm
concerned about the clearance on the top of the
spindle. Right now it has 6.50 x 16 mounted on it.

How much clearance do you have , I would think that you will need an inch , haven't tried .

I am assuming you have a row crop... I have 6.50's on a 671 with ok clearance. The 961 has 6.00 on it with ok clearance but I think it would be pretty tight with 7.50's. You want near an inch of clearance. Best way if a neighbor has 7.50's to try one just for clearance. Front hubs are pretty universal with 6 bolt pattern. Could always turn the dish out which could increase steering effort but give plenty of clearance.

it will be close, depending on the rim may have to flip the rim

Doubtful without reversing the rims.

I have 6.60X16 front tires on my 64 4000 and there is little clearance between the tires and the spindles.

I run tires that size on my 841 all the time but not sure if they will work on your machine
