'52 8N value

Lookig at a '52 8N side mount distributor. It has been sitting over a year. Rear tires are thee years old. Sheet metal is straight but paint is bad. No proof meter and headlights r busted. He said it ran when it was parked but it would take a little work to crank it now. He want's a $1000, is it worth it?

Rear tires that new are worth half that so $1000 is not a bad price unless the guy is not telling the truth and the engine is bad but even then you could still make out selling it off in parts. By the way ALL 1952 8Ns are side mount distributors

Non runner? Usually I go 500$

If good tires and tin, and engine loose and can may bee make some oil pressure via battery, maybe 750... any more than that and it needs to make some noise and smoke..

I just sold a pair of 11.2s for $500 so I think it is a fair price, that being said I would offer $750 you can go up put can not go down in price to EZ lol
Boss

I'm assuming it's in Alabama???? If it were closer and you didn't want it, I'd ask you to tell me where it is.

Well, I went over there today and the engine is stuck. The tire
tread is new looking but the side walls have cracks in them.

I brought one first of the summer for $500 it had new front and rears with new rear rims.. He brought the tractor put new tires in it and did a rattle can restoration... He found the engine worn out and second gear out in the trans... It has been sitting for about 10 years and the rears did show some weather cracks... I got $800 out of the rears and don't remember what I got for the fronts...
Both parties were very happy to get the tires...

He could not locate the guts for the trans and somehow lost the crank it did not mater I brought it for the tars the rest is gravy...
