Ken dragged this home from southern Missouri yesterday.
The first Belgian 4000 I've seen up close and personal.
If the serial numbers correspond to the US dates it should be a 1967. *A167486*
A few interesting things about it.
Tin is quite good. That black spot in the left hood is just soot.
Engine has been changed at some point. Has the later soft plugs and tach drive under the oil filter
No 3 lines of code above the starter. Just the serial #.
Has an extra brass tag under the hood above the radiator with the model, serial info on it. Not a good photo of it. Also has the foil tag under the hood but very hard to read.
All the writing is in German.
Has British style fenders with wide step plates (which I'm going to steal) Has the hand brake on the left side.
8 Hole lugs and one piece 30" rims/centers that are stamped FoMoCo (last photo). Rims are junk but he will keep them and weld the centers into some band duals he has.
Front end is worn bad and busted up.
Has aftermarket PS on it.(supposedly works good)
Diesel ran a year ago but now is stuck.
Tractor was up on blocks. Had no front tires/rims on it. He brought them along and put the rear rims back on to help load it.
I'm kicking myself for not buying it.
Here are a bunch of photos - not all of them good.
