Ford Model Help (4400 Industrial)

Hello everyone, I purchased what I believe is a Ford 4400 Industrial. The person I got if from said it was a 4500 industrial model. From what I can read on the model # it is showing "44022C" and I believed the Production Code "5M4B" and the S/N " C128505. This tractor has the factory loader with CAT2 3 point.I would like to verify what I have in order to get a service manual and parts. Thank you for any information or help!

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I will continue to look for a service manual, so far I have not had much luck locating one for service / repair on 4400 model. Everything I have worked on in the past has been regular AG and not listed industrial. Do you know if any of the AG models are similar for parts and service to the 4400 model? Thank you again, -Mark.

A 4400 is built on a 4000 chassis so much of the tractor will be the same.
All engine specs - tune up, rebuild, etc, will be the same. Transmission is a typical 8 speed with non live pto. About the only real difference between a 4000 and a 4400 is the front axle and steering.
Your hydraulic pump and lift would be the same as a 3000.
So for general maintenance stuff you can get by for now with an I&T FO-31 manual which covers 2/3/4000 tractors. It's only like $25 or so.
If you want to you can buy the original ford factory service manual. About $175 for the paper copy or about $15 for a CD off of Ebay.
I have a 4400 also and just have the I&T manual though I have been messing with these 3 cylinder Fords for a while so kinda know my way around them.
BTW, a 4400 is Not an industrial. It is a Utility.
Some of the purists here will needle you for calling yours an Industrial.

Thank you again, I really appreciate your time and the information. It should be a nice winter project. Have a good weekend!

Ultradog nailed it as a 4400 with a gas engine, trans PTO and an 8 speed, and the serial number looks to be an early 1966, but tha production code is December 4, 1965 day shift, so I am wondering if that might be the date code for the assembly of the transmission, and the tractor production code might be some time in early 1966. Try looking on the same flat spot on the other side of the tractor to see if there's another code stamped there, and if it might start with a 6. I've seen a few really early 3 cylinders where they stamped the tranny code on the right and the tractor code on the left.

Thank you. I ordered a service manual, just waiting for it to show up. It looks like everything the previous owner did was just hacked together. The wiring harness is cut all to pieces and for some reason he has an electric fuel lift/transfer pump from the fuel tank to the pre-strainer? I thought on these engines the fuel was gravity fed from tank to the strainer and then carb. Also I need to check the rear hydraulics, the arms come up slow and hesitate. It should be a nice project but just amazed of how things are cobbled together :). Thanks again , -Mark

Originally there was a mechanical fuel pump on the front of the engine up at the top on the left. The fuel line from the shutoff valve at the tank went forward along the right side and then across the bottom front of the engine and up to the pump, and then the line from the pump went back cross the front of the engien near the top and then back to the sediment bowl. Original fuel pump is number 20 in the picture below.

Thank you for the picture, I got the fuel pump yesterday and began tearing everything apart today. I rebuilt the carb a couple of days ago and it is running a lot better although now I have fuel leaking out of the carb / choke disc area... Not sure if I have the float adjusted wrong or what would cause that. Thank you again for the info and help, I can use it. -Mark
