851 air cleaner

851 I just acquired is missing air cleaner, owner had removed it and later got burnt in utility shed fire. Have seen some tractors with a K&M mounted directly on carb, is that a possibility on my Ford?

Anything is better than no filter, the originals are not hard to find ebay has them often

agree witht the others. anything is better than nothing.. but i'd get an original style oil bath filter.
