I need to replace my fuel line on my 600 ford and
was wondering if anyone out there has rerouted the
fuel line so it doesn't run thru the center of
manifold any pics would be helpful

maybe you don't need to replace it. This is a topic of much debate. I don't subscribe to the vapor lock theory myself, and many of these tractors never had problems working hour after hour in very hot weather. I took my line out and cut out the rubber part and installed a piece of rubber gas line in its place.

I agree, SC.

I've a 55 860, a 58 961 and a 64 4000 all with OEM fuel lines.

All tractors are workers and I've never had any issues related to fuel line routing.

Additionally, by definition, a gravity flow fuel fuel system CANNOT vapor lock.

That said, the OEM fuel line is available only from CNH and is expensive. Most folks buy a brake line from NAPA and route it forward of the manifold.

It can if the the fuel tank isn't properly vented, but that has nothing to do with the fuel line getting overheated by the exhaust manifold, but if it gets hot enough to vaporize any fuel that tries to pass through it then you will not get any liquid fuel to the carburetor bowl, only fuel vapor, or maybe a slight amount of liquid from re-condensation, but not enough to keep it running properly. The current ethanol blended gasoline can boil at a lower temperature than the fuel that was available back when these tractors were new.

If you have the original fuel lines and you aren't having issues then more power to you, but it might be a problem for some folks.

Here is the setup I did on my 641. Like the others said, get some 1/4" brake line at NAPA and bend it up. I put an off-shelf rubber grommet at the thru-connection of the front fuel tank mount, then rubber to eat up vibration between the tank side and the side that attaches to the carburetor. Also, I lock my bottom tank valve open and just use that more robust in-line shut-off valve. All of this comes from NAPA.

A pix of the original.. I would re-rout toward the front of the engine it if I had to do it over... Fuel lines do do bad and rust on the inside its a good idea to replace it...

nice work Kevin
I don't have a problem at all with fuel rated rubber gas line.
(I'd fab up a hanger to support that one in the middle however.)
But, some of this stuff would look very good on that nice tractor, and be a little safer:

as far as the vap... loc.. debate,
just don't use those words.
A super-heated fuel line that gets the gas in it boiling...
The boiling will go up, impeding the normal down flow.
....so I re-route them.
