They fit on but I'm thinking they're butt ugly.
Call me goofy but I DO care how it looks.
What do you guys think?
They stick out beyond the tires about 3" and NO way to get them inside the rims further.
If I went with them I would recess the bolts (counter bore) so the bolts/nuts didn't stick out, shorten that center pipe and I would paint them.
They add about 600 lbs/wheel.
The alternative is fluid.

I don't think they look that bad. Nothing that some paint won't help. Looks better than a set of pie weights and doesn't stick out nearly so far.

They'll look much better with a coat of paint on them. Once painted (buff?), I don't think they'd earn the "butt ugly" title. I'd go for it...and I'd be really tempted to add the 3rd plate to each side, unless that would make it too wide for something.

look good to me.
Like Fordfarmer said, if you have more put them on too.

After you paint them, everyone that sees them will be asking you,
"Hey, where do I get weights like that"

side benefit,
you know they stick out, so you will be wary of catching them on something. So, them pretty tires will be safer........

I like them. If you had more plates I'd add them too. If you can shorten the threads with no issue may bee that, but heck, they'd run as is with no problems in most places

I would take a cutoff wheel and take the end of the bolts off flush, will save you some gouges when you bump into them.

If I said they were butt ugly would you ship them to me to
get rid of them? LOL
I think they would look fine with some paint and a trim and the
trim only if you couldn't add an additional weight to the end!

Weights are weights. They looks good in the fact you know what benefit they add. Put some paint on them and be happy. Were they made for a Ford tractor? Or did you have them made by any chance? You have 300 pounds on each side in six pieces. I have three hundred pounders in one piece. Be happy.

Am I remembering that you & Kenny made those before the shop closed? I remember being envious. Or was it something else you made?

Thanks fellas.
All good advice.
I was leaning towards leaving them on.
And then asked my wife to look.
She said they were ugly.
So I guess that settles it.
I'm going to use fluid.

I have 2 sets of weights that look like these, except the bolts don't stick out they are threaded holes, Made for ford tractors. Much handier then inner weights that I also have. After getting use to them I really like them.

Awful tempting to put them on my 4600...would be great counterweights for my loader...but wouldn't work with my duals. Guess I need to ask Santa for another tractor.

Man, I wish I had those!
If you painted them with the same mellow yellow you did the rims in they would look the least detracting from your tractor's style.

Leave just the right amount of exposed bolt to accept big chrome acorn nuts.

Cheers,
T
