OT: Rotary Cutter "The Saber"

anybody ever heard of a rotary cutter (brush hog style) model or brand called "The Saber?" This is a 5-foot 3-point hitch model, originally painted yellow.

I fancy myself pretty handy with internet search engines, but I can't find a thing... All I'm seeing is heavy duty boom mowers, which this most certainly is not. I need a mower and the price is right, but in this day and age I'm confused by anything I can't read about online :oops:
 
I assume that you found the company named Tiger that makes the Saber boom mowers. They also make a couple of 3 point mounted rotary cutters, but the ones they make now appear to both be batwing style. It's possible that the one you're looking at is a model that was made by the same company some time in the past, and the seller is just confused on the name.

Sean, I did see that company. From the seller's pictures I find it hard to believe that it's the same company. I'm going to look at it tonight so at least I'll be able to see how heavily built it is even if I can't figure out who made it. It's so inexpensive that I'm thinking there must be something obviously wrong with it for it not to have sold yet. We shall see...
 
I bought it last night. Not sure when or why the "The Saber" sticker was put on it, but upon close inspection I found a manufacturer's tag riveted to the deck indicating that it was made by J Bar Corporation (http://jbarcorp.com/cutter/cutter.html). Based on the pictures at their web site it is one of their Standard Duty 5' Rotary Cutters. I think it should be a good match for my 850 (with ORC, of course!).
