Before I start taking things apart!

My 841D has hydraulics problems. Today I got the gasket kits ordered and am ready to remove the pump and/or cover. I have looked in each access hole but find no leaking, no air in pump, clean fluid and correct amount. My problems are: (1) the arms will raise the full height but will not lift more than approximately 75 pounds. (2) when arms are raised they pulsate, that is, they will rise to the set elevation and then fall 3-4 inches, then rise again to the set setting. This cycle is repeated about every 10-15 seconds. (3) even though the hydraulics will not lift any weight, I was able to move an RV by first raising the front of the RV to about 30 inches. Then back the tractor under the RV hitch and raise the lift. Once raised, I lowered the front of the RV down on the ball attached to the tractor. The tractor hydraulics did not fall, it held steady where it had been set. The weight on the tractor hydraulics was approx. 800 pounds. Anyone have any ideas where I might start repairing my hydraulic problems. any assistance would be appreciated.

Put a pressure gauge on the test port first. That will tell you if it is the pump or maybe a blown cylinder o-ring. Rebuilt one not long ago and found it to be a bad o-ring/back up washer

After approximately a month of holidays, illness, and family issues, I am back getting the 841 into operation. As suggested, I attached a pressure gauge to the pressure port. Assume this is the attachment point located on the accessory plate. With chains securing the lift arms to the axles, I ran engine up to 2000 rpm and raised the lift arms to full height. Pressure was 500-550 psi, regardless of rpm. Next the gauge was attached to the port on the pump. Under the same conditions, the pressure was again 500-550 psi. Observing the interior of the hydraulic housing there was now a stream of fluid coming from what looked like the top right side of the housing (against the wall). Fluid in the bottom of the sump was swirling and had bubbles. The bubbles could have been caused by the stream of fluid falling into the sump. There was still no other observation of leaking in the sump including the piston. From my observation, the lift cover will at least be coming off. Could the problem be the pressure tube or something else?
