Never thought Id do it, but I sold all but my two
old Fords and bought a new 4wd 39 HP Kubota. Its
like dying and going to heaven! I think Ill sell
the two old fords and maybe someday start over. Ive
got so much room in the shop I almost get lost in
there. Think Im gonna miss the backhoe.

I sold off a few Fords and brought a new bota... I have a issue tho... I have my eyes on a JD backhoe for 6K... do I buy it are a backhoe for the BOTA.... (one are the other is gonna happen)

As much as I have enjoyed the bota it can not do the garden chores as good as my Fords and Farmalls... The Fords and Farmalls can not do the chores the Bota does..

I too have sold 3 tractors in the past couple years and cleaned out parts, scrap and other clutter. Now if it storms I can put the truck under cover for the first time in 38 years. Sure is nice and I still have two tractors and the implements I need and use.

It would be nice to not have to take the hoe off.
Its not too bad if its 3 point, but if its frame
hookup its a little more trouble, enough to not want
to do it. But then its another machine to maintain,
but you are probably more used to the monkeyshines.

I went modern several years ago for work tractors but kept all of my vintage Fords.

These days, I use the diesels for mowing, etc. and the Fords for light and/or specialized work.

I've an implement mounted on all of them that never comes off. Aside from the FWA MF with FEL that comes off each spring when the cutter goes on, I cannot remember the last time I changed implements. Takes up lots of space but is very convenient.

In 1999 I bought a L341-0 Kubota as my main 'work tractor' I sold a 3 cyl 2000. Then I started buying older Fords. Still use the Kubota for loader work and driveway maintenance. Use a 641 for bush hogging. The ten other 8 Ns and 9Ns get used for play.

Yep. My old 9Ns plow better than my Kubota. I use
8 and 9Ns in the garden.

This popped up on cracklist today about 30 miles from me... Gonna stop by the local bota dealer and see if the frame fits mine...

Another question,,, I have dual remotes but they are not full floating... I would think I would have to tie one of'em open for it to work the Hoe... Dunno maybe Dean knows....

A decent Hoe @ 4/6K is with in reach and worth the gamble I only have to talk myself into it no woman involved  I would like to find a woman that would buy one for me with her money not mine :D

Nice looking rig! Seems a bit high to me? Ive seen
new ones for less, but it is a good sized machine.
The one I just sold had a 16 inch bucket.

I've never bought an old tractor because I needed to get work done. I've bought them because of nostalgia and a love of the way they were.

It's always good to update. Tractors start when you need them, have warranties, 1 finger power steering, and the most important... cupholders!

I'm a fan of getting more work done with less stress. Besides, if you have a shed full of old tractors, they should smell like wax and not like work.

The day I start waxing my old work tractors is the day they go to the crusher!
