I am trying to fix this carb. for a friend, the tractor wont run unless on full choke. New intake manifold gaskets pressure checked manifold. He has soaked this in boarek acid to clean it. I have not gotten into it yet, but I am leaning toward a blocked passage. Beside the main jet, is their any of these passages that can deal you a fit? Thanks in advance.

I'm not real familiar with that carb model. John Deere?
Anyway, in general all of the passages can cause you fits.
I rod them all out with wire.
If he changed the actual jets, its possible the kit came with
jets that were the wrong size/too small. Jets, not the screws.
That is the same as restricting the passages with dirt.
If they were changed, check the size with an appropriate drill bit.
If they are original, just make sure they are good and clean.
