Ford 841 purchase and planned upgrades

I've been advertising a 841 for a friend and may end up buying it myself. It's a really decent tractor that needs little to be proud of.It has 18.4x26 diamond tread tires. They are checking from age and I really need bar treads. Would 14.9x24 have been an available size as delivered? Fronts are 7.5x16's. i don't want a show tractor but want it to look unaltered. It's repainted Ford Blue but several items I unbolted have it also. Any chance it came this way? very little paint damage and I really hate the thought of dismantling to recolor. open to opinions.

Ignoring special quantity orders, no Ford model 841 tractors were painted blue at the Ford factory. Who knows what a dealer or PO might have done.

8*1 series tractors were available with 24" rear wheels/tires and 14.9x24 would be a good fit on this tractor as the OD of 14.9x24 tires is close to the OD of 13.6x28 tires often found on these tractors.

You do know that 24" wheel centers are more difficult to find than the ubiquitous 28" centers?

As dean says no blue ones. As for the rear tires again as dean say easier to find 28 inch rims and center then 24s. It is is truly and 841 that means if has 4 forward speed.

This is how your tractor may have ended up with blue paint.

A BIG thanks !!!!!! from the age of the repaint that makes sense. The Ford dealer in deland Fl painted all tradeins in the '60's, including 8n's. Made you puke.

THE BLUE PAINT, I WORKED FOR A DEALERSHIP OWNED
BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY BACK IN THE 70'S AND I PAINTED ALL 1939-1961 BLUE & LIGHT GRAY, THEY WANTED THE BLUE OUT THERE I PAINTED OVER 200
OF THEM.
