655C Ford Backhoe Lucas Alternator

Can anyone tell me how I can check the battery temperature sensor wire at the alternator? I would like to be able to check the one wire that plugs into the back of the alternator rather than chasing the wire from the battery box through the harness.

Battery temp sensor resistance should be 200 ohms, best place to measure is at the sensor connector.

Thanks Rick. I assume there is a temperature relationship to the amount of resistance? Is the resistance the same at 30 degrees as it at 80? Do you know what voltage is supplied to the temp sensor? Doe it come from the ignition switch? thanks again.
