Hello! I have a ford 860 tractor, and I was peacefully driving along on a nice fall day, and I look down to see my voltage meter going insane. So I look over and the stud in the alternator was loose and spinning around in the alternator creating a ton of sparks. So I turn the tractor off, and fix the stud, but when I try and start it again it will crank but not start. It sat for a while, but now I need it to plow the mile long driveway.
So I was testing with a test lamp, and there is no power getting to the coil, but there is power coming out of the solenoid and all its wires.
Then I tried to bypass the one fuse this tractors got, and still nothing. I am at a loss, any advice? Thanks in advance
