I am trying to buy this tractor, have no idea what the cost should be, thanks for any help please. Owner says it has a 45 HP engine???, runs and works good body is fair. Thanks.

Realistically, not much help can be had from here. These machines can either be pretty good old diggers, or incredible money pits. Problem is, it's hard enough to predict which after careful inspection, let alone from far away. If I had to depend on a machine to do much of any amount of digging or loader work, I'd start by looking for a machine about 20 years newer.

The Jubilee originally came with a 32 hp, 134 cu in engine. Ford also made 172 and 192 cu in engines that will bolt right in with no modifications.
Regardless of which engine the Jubilee now has it was never designed to handle a backhoe and front end loader. If you are planning on doing any serious work you need to look for a larger tractor.

if it has 45 horse the engine's been changed out, no big deal if you know what its been changed too, so you can buy parts, as a jubilee owner i can tell you that while a loader and backhoe attachment were available for it, its a combination that will wear out the tractor fast, the jubilee axles are not robust enough for extended use like this and if it used the tractor engine mounted hydraulic pump to operate either one it will be slower than grandma on a cold winter morning, you need to carefully check the axles, as well as engine and tranny for cracks, welds or any other monkey business as well as check the loader and hoe for the same, plus the cylinders on both for leakage or pitting, how are the hydraulic hoses? look at the pto and see if it has a auxillery hydraulic pump mounted there if so, it will be much more usable, then do the usual checking you would when buying a tractor

My Jubilee w/sherman hoe and o/u/d trans formerly had a cable lift back fill blade. Also had an 8N with hoe & loader. Both are slow diggers but much faster than an old man with a shovel. If they lasted over 50 years, they must have not been too over loaded. If you need a real digger, pass, if you just want to play around diggin a stone or stump every now & then it's sure a relaxing seat to spend a day in. Mine was $3K back before it turned 50 but the tractor itself was so nice I couldn't pass it.

I have a Jub with a wagner loader and I went through many spindles when I built my house. For all I spent on spindles I should have put on a different axel with heavier spindles. I could put 1300 lbs of shingles on the roof.

My husband and I just bought a Ford Jubilee and want to find a backhoe attachment for it. Can you tell me the correct backhoe attachment to look for? Thank you from North Central Montana.

From the info given $800.00 to $4500. condition of tires is important because the set of four new ones can set you back $1800.00
