Tractor data will be for the bare tractor, most likely. Possibly wet, possibly dry, very possibly not saying which.

I have the owners manual and "go weigh it" still seems like the best bet. "Weight, less options" is listed at 4510 lbs - presumably with the 24" rear tires, unloaded. Maximum allowable weight with unloaded buckets is 12,600 lbs.

There's only one model of FEL (540) but there are variety of buckets with slightly varying weights. The weight of the buckets is listed but the weight of the loader is not.

There are several models & sizes of backhoe - weight is a bit vague since it's not given, effective counterweight is (hoe hangs a long way behind the axle, has lots of effective counterweight.) In any case the weight will vary.

What size tires, are they loaded, with what? Cast wheel weights? ROPS or no ROPS? The options are nearly endless.

My manual shows (with 755 'hoe, 740 loader, 28" tires, front pie weights and no cab or ROPS) to be right at 13000 lbs.

Just ran the neighbors 4500 TLB all day yesterday digging 200ft of ditch 3ft deep in clay. First time running one. That thing is h*ll for stout!. Gotta be at least 10K in weight. Ran it at a little over idle all day and was a diggin fool...

JF must have a different manual than I do if it's got that info.

Hogleg - Yup, it's a dedicated hoe platform - 27GPM nose pump, somewhere around 19gallons of hydraulic fluid tankage (4-5 in the nose, 7 on each side of the subframe) and the hoe subframe (which is part of the tractor, not an option) goes all the way to the nose. And, of course, the radiator shell is a bit different than most, being 1/4" steel plate.

Weak points IMPE are the hoe swing chains and the tractor steering / power steering / kingpin bushings (that's 3 separate weak points to the steering system thus far...) The loader frame is evidently under-designed, based on the fact that every one I've personally seen is cracked and patched. Mind you that may have a bit to do with the power of the loader leading people on sometimes - it will break out 6000 lbs and lift 3000 to full height, per specs.

I also had issues with the hoe swingpost bushings, but that was clearly lack of care by prior owners.

Additionally the fact that the dashboard is evidently a perfectly designed mouse-nest becomes an issue every time it's sat for a while between starts.
