Proper rim size for 11.2-28 tires?

Can someone tell me the proper size rim for the 11.2-28 tires on my 1954 NAA? I need new rims, mine are rotting out.

I keep finding conflicting information.

Should it be 9" or 10" by 28" rims?

I bet if you look close at your tires some place on them will say 11.2X28 on 10 inch rims as in you need 10 inch rims for the 11.2 tire. Rule of thumb is an inch smaller then the tire size as in 11.2 minus 1 inch equals 10.2 and forget the .2

Your NAA probably was equipped with 10X28 (11.2X28) tires on 10" rims when new.

The "before" photo is 12.4-28 tires on 9-inch rims, and the "after" is new 11.2-28 tires on the same 9-inch rims. (Sorry it's a Fergy! )

From what I could find on YT and the "other" N Board, you can use either a 9-inch or a 10-inch rim for an 11.2-28 tire. I liked the "9-inch" answer, since I already had 9-inch rims.

Thanks for all the answers and the pictures.

I think 10" is probably the right answer and what I'll go with. I'll measure my current ones once I get them apart.
