I recently help a guy fix his 6v genny on a TO30. Thanks for the expert advice from JMOR and Soundguy, all I had to do is short the field to ground to get it working. This is the third genny I've got working for friends. All needed new regulators. The last car I had with a regulator was a 65 Barracuda. I've forgotten just how problematic regulars were.
The guy I helped has a truck farm. He has two old tractors. He raises sweet corn, melons, pumpkins and mums. Instead of money, I got a truck load of mums. Both friend and boss were very happy.
