850 ford carbuerator

I have 1957 ford 850 with marvel schribner carburetor been through three kits . float will not shut off, burns excessive amount of gas. Want a new carburetor. what should I use zenith or marvel schribner?

Either can function just fine, but personally, I tend to like the M/S. Not the answer to your question, but, have you made sure that you have really seriously torqued down the seat? More often than you might think, that is the leak rather than the needle not sealing to seat.

Don't know if this will work for you or not, but it did for me.
Went through my carb several times and it kept flooding.
Someone on here suggested tightening the seat where the needle goes.
Made a driver that fit the slot as tight as possible and got it to turn.
Just wasn't getting enough torque on a regular big screwdriver.
Problem solved.
