Old 4000 forklift handy to have around

Although I don't use it much, mostly for moving
logs it came in handy this weekend. Spoke to a
friend who works at a lumber yard and his boss
told him to tear down a 16 X 20 storage shed. He
asked if I was interested in it. Since my wife has
been asking me to build her a shed of her own that
I'm not allowed to store stuff in I say yes but
maybe not the whole thing but a couple of pieces.
so I took the front section and rear section in
6x16 pieces to make a 12x16 shed.
It sat at a height of 14'2" going down the highway
on my trailer. I had to sit on the roof and guide
the wires over it in my driveway but other than
that it was a pretty smooth trip.
Once home I fired up the old ford forklift. It
ain't pretty, it leaks, smokes, still runs on a
temp gas tank but lifts, pushed and pulled the
shed into place. It needs a new roof and some
siding repair but saved me a lot of time and
money. Sure I probably could have got it done
without my old forklift but it would have been a
lot harder and took longer.
