Ok so the I-T manual says to use a slide hammer to pull the unloader valve plug which I have tried to do but it is not moving any. So how in the world does one get that pulled out so one and check to make sure the unloder valve is free and moving as it should.
Thanks

pull it with a bolt.

get some plate and drill it to slip a bolt in and then use something as spacers unde rthe plate and the valve body, and then tightent he bolt.. it will pull the plug out.

i have some pics i can send you of a home made setup.

I think kurt posted a pic using a small bearing seperator and a bolt and a bunch of washer stacks to pull one.

Ya after I posted the question I waited a bit to see if any one would answer then after 30 minutes or so I went out and looked around for an way to do it. I used a pieces of angle iron and a long bolt and nut and just screwed the bolt in then tighten up the nut.
The unloader valve moves freely and I can see no problem with it. Have to order the gasket set and the place close to me is out of it right now sao on hold for a day or 3
Thanks

Since you have it apart you may as well replace the o-ring on the unloader. It's NH part number NCA836B and costs about $1.00. It's a special o-ring so don't try to use a generic one from a chinese o-ring kit.

A punch and a hammer on the opposite end will drive the plug and valve out. Has worked for me many ,many times.

Agreed.

I would never put one back together without first replacing the unloader valve O-ring with the correct CNH part.

I may call the NH dealer and have them send it to my in the mail should fit in a common envelope

There is nuttin special about that o-ring other than it defies logic on normal use of a o-ring used to seal... The o-ring used is undersized so the valve will float in the bore the o-ring is a standard off the shelf o-ring... With a new o-ring the valve should move with the slightest movement it should almost fall out on its on are just fall out... That defies the logic of using a o-ring....
