ford 8000 pro and cons,is it same as 8600

Looking at a 8000,low houred, early model no dual speed. By looking at anti freeze can,t tell if anything was added such as the additive for the sleeves. Is it the sleeves that go bad or the block? Is it worst case to do a overhaul in the future if they do go bad?thanks steve

Unless it's been overhauled and sleeved, there are no sleeves in it . If you get a hole in a cylinder, standard procedure is to bore and sleeve all of them. Isn't cheap, but you have a 'new' engine when you're done.
