I purchased this tractor a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the loader was repainted and has no decals. I was wondering if someone knows what kind of model the loader is. It is not quick connect. I am looking at purchasing a set of pallet forks and I think if I knew the model of the loader, it would make it a little easier to find a set of forks.
thanks

That looks like a real nice loader, and it looks like it fits the tractor quite well. It may have been the loader supplied by Ford through the dealers.

But to get a bale spear, you don't need to know anything about the loader manufacturer. There are 2 types of spears for a front end loader. The cheapest and simplest fits the bucket floor. So you place a couple of bolts through a couple of holes drilled or torched through the bucket floor so the spear can't come off. There is a U channel to fit the front edge of the bucket's cutting edge. The channel should be nearly the same length as the width of the bucket so the bottom of the bucket does not get bent downward.

The second kind of spear system hooks up directly to the bucket mounting of the loader with the bucket removed. This may give more satisfactory service in handling the bale as you can see without the bucket being in the way (and you are not having to lift the weight of the bucket). You can take some pictures of the mount area on the back side of the bucket and do some careful measurements and have a spear mount custom made or maybe it is common enough that some dealer has it in stock.

We use the spear that bolts in the bottom of the bucket. But Bobcats often use a dedicated spear that fits the bobtach. A bucket spear in a bobcat probably moves the weight of the bale too far away from the front wheels and the bobcat gets too tippy. But your tractor should not have that problem.

Some of the spears that replace the bucket have adjustable brackets to fit just about any loader width.
Looks like a nice tractor!

Scrape the paint on the loader in some less visible place. I bet it's red... Looks like one of the larger IH/Case loaders from the mid-late 80's... although I can't say that for certain. If it is, most of them break at the cross member, the same as the Ford loaders of that time.
