NAA front wheel hub problem

I am trying to replace the left front dust seal. I bought dust seal NCA1190A. Unfortunately I threw away the old seal so I cant compare them. When I installed the seal and tightened the axle nut I cant install the cotter pin. It appears the seal is to thick to allow the nut enough space.
The hub casting number is 8N107?44 with the ? being a diamond. According to the parts store either seal NCA1190A or 9N1190B will work but I'm not sure. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
