1963 Ford 4000 SOS creep

I have a 1963 Ford 4000 SOS. New Ford fluid. Creeps a little in nuetral and Park. Worse in cold weather. I have read other posts on this and understand there are many variables. Should I try readjusting bands? I did adjust them once and seemed to help the shifting concern. Does anyone have picture of parts or a parts list for parking brake?

There's no parking brake! Park is facilitated by the application of bands 2 and 3 simultaneously.

Neutral creep would be normal especially until the transmission is at normal operating temperature.

How long does it creep in Park? Is it just momentary or is it continuous? If the latter, you either need to adjust the bands correctly or repair whatever is preventing them from applying properly.

I installed brake locks from a non S-O-S tractor onto the brake mechanisms of my 64 4000.

One of the reasons I got rid of mine. A real PIA in trying to connect
implements, especially as you say, in cold weather. Had to shut it
off but then I didn't have lift capabilities on the 3 pt so if I was too
low and couldn't pull it back up had to get on and start it again.

You should be able to lift the arms easily enough by hand if they're too low. I pretty much always do it that way. I back up to the implement and set the arms so the balls are an inch or two below the pins on the implement and then shut off the tractor and lift the arms to the proper height and connect it up. It helps that mine has the semi-detaching ends on the arms so I don''t have to be exact on the fore and aft position when I stop the tractor, but I have had no problem lifting the arms even as much as 6 or 8 inches.

Connecting 3 pt implements to an SOS tractor is no more difficult than any other tractor. I just anticipate how far they might move and in which direction when I release the brakes. Of course, I hold the brakes long enough to know that Park has engaged. If one is smarter than his tool . . . it is simple to use!
