2000 offset oil level (hyd)

the blurry pic of the dipstick shows a mark an inch or so from the bottom. currently the oil level shows about 3/4 of the way up the stick.
should I drain the oil and fill to proper level?

Why not just top it off to the proper level? It there a need to drain?

the hyd sump on the 53-64 machines can accomodate plenty more hyd oil than the dipstick shows as nominal.

the stick needs to show oil on it with all cyls extended so that the pump isn't sucking dry... things with big SA cyls can suck up alot of oil extended, and thus overfill the sump when retracted. the ford 711 laoder uses a large SA cyl.

I have those on plenty of my 00/01's I imagine i have 3g oil in those sumps... way overfull mark when retracted.
