Stuck engine ford 3000

Just purchased a 72 model 3000 with a stuck engine. The tractor only has 1200 hours on it. It has not been run for 5 years. I put Kroil in all 3 cylinders of the gas engine. How long should I keep trying to unstick it before I pull the head? Any other remedies?

if it was me i'd fill the cyls with a mix of 3:1 diesel to type f atf ( or dex/merc3 ), and a lil bit of acetone. and fill em up to the spark plug holes and let er set.

check every now and then to see if they are draining.

try to spin crank now and then. might pull starter to make sure it is not a hung drive gear, plus block clutch.

if it don't let go in a few days of tugging on it and soaking.. you will either need to look at the top or lower end.

any history?

overheat? overheat and sieze from lack of oil? or when running?

got water in rad? oil in rad?

water in oil?

Keep in mind that those gas pistons have a very deep dish in the top of them.
You will need to pour in at least a cup of whatever concoction you use to get the oil to spill over onto the rings and do any good.
I would pour in about 10 ounces in each hole if it were me.
See photo.
I use Marvel Mystery oil.

Also,
Never, ever trust the hours on the tach of a 65-75 Thousand Series Ford unless you actually watch it turn over with your own eyes.
They failed early and often.

I commonly buy tractor with locked up engine and so far most have freed up. I use 100% ATF and fill the cylinder and also pour it down the exhaust. Keep in mind it has gotten water into the cylinders due to the exhaust not being covered it stand a bout a 90% chance it will not free up with out a engine rebuild

As long as you have the patients for... I would remove the starter and rock the flywheel at the ring gear teeth every time i walked by it with a 2/3ft pry-bar just nudge it don't get mean when it turns lose it will turn...

Put as much Kroil are PB blaster in it as you can afford and supplement it with the other recommended penitents..

good suggestions here. I will add that a good way to bump it periodically is to jack the rear tires off the ground, then you put the tractor in gear and try to turn the tire. This gives you leverage and a little bit of inertia. Try it a couple times a day or every few days depending on your schedule.

Thanks for all of the replies No movement yet. The person I bought it from said it may have had water down the exhaust. I will keep trying and let everyone know what worked. I did pour a little Kroil down the exhaust

....and get all the water out of the cylinders before you add your solvent.
Strong airline will work, but messy.
I use a necked down shopvac hose.

Be sure to have the transmission in Highest gear so you can put more pressure on the engine. Be patient.

removed the head and oil pan I do not believe it would have broke loose. 2 pistons almost out the third one is on its way.

If cyl's are good, mic them for excessive wear, lightly hone them and do an inframe overhaul.. Same on rod ends. Check head and if crazy check exhaust valve guides and freshen in needed. Will be a nice fresh engine. exhast valve guides and new seals will slow down spitting problems.

Well after beating the pistons out of the block the tractor is running again. New rings cleaned up the head checked the valves and rebuilt the Holly Carb. The exhaust is running hot so I will check the timing. The 3 point lift is not working so now to work on it. Thanks for alll the suggestions and help
