Stuck top link bracket pin

I bought a new top link bracket to replace a broken one on my 641, but when I tried to remove the old one, the pin at the bottom was stuck solid.

I tried to drive it out with a hammer, twist it out with a pair of vice grips and a pipe wrench, and I tried to use a punch to drive/twist it out. But it wouldn't budge. Anyone have any advice on how to remove this pin?

heat and penetrant oil. if all else fails burn it out or heat it then when soft, drill the center to relieve pressure then drive it out.

if propane is your only heat, it may not do.

if you don't have O/A then if you are gonna keep playing with old iron, at least get the expanded plumbers torch setup using MAPP gas

What Soundguy said, and time. If its not urgent the oil and time will probably get it. Heat will speed things up.

when I had this problem I cut it on both sides with grinder or recip saw, don't remember which, then drove it out on each side. divide and conquer.

homebrew grape juice (50/50 acetone/ atf). heat it with a propane torch, spray the juice to it, drink a beer, then smack it with a hammer.
If that doesnt work, it is too bent to come out. You will have to grab the sawsall.

heat, sometimes lots of heat, repeated soaking, pounding.
If a part went in....it will come out...eventually.
Won't really help in your situation, because you need it, but patience is sometimes required too.
nope, it's not going to come out today....tomorrow is another day.

I've been working on 4 broken off wheel weight bolts in the thick cast wheel center of a Farmall A.....for weeks on and off.
2 are out, 2 are still 'resisting' I'm a patient man, they might as well give up, I WILL get them out LOL.

Absolute plus one on Hobos post.
work on old machinery, ya just gotta have an air hammer........

I just wanted to report the good news. I went by Autozone today after work and picked up a cheap impact hammer for $20. It came with a couple chisel points and one shaped like a sharpened pencil. I ground the pencil point flat on the bench grinder, and started on the pin.

After the first five minutes and half a can of liquid wrench it had moved about a 16th inch. I kept alternating sides and spraying, and after 5-10 minutes more it was half way out. A little more spray, and a little more air, and it was out. Thanks to all for the input and suggestions.

A pin that's stuck and if you continue to beat on it will swell and marry its self to its environment... Vibration is had to beat... I am sure you will find more uses for your new tool...
